Dreading Slam is a friendly, open mic poetry competition held at The Rising Sun Arts Centre on Silver Street, Reading on the first Sunday of the month at 7.30pm.
Poets of all standards are welcome to compete and entertain our audience, three of whom will be randomly selected to judge each performance. If you wish to compete please bring 3 poems of 3 minutes maximum length.
The winner can consider themselves the best Performance Poet in Berkshire (for few weeks) and will qualify for the Dreading Grand Slam to be crowned our Champion for the year.
